Week of 11/3 - 11/8 --UPDATE

This week will start the figurative language unit for all grade levels. There are seven elements of figurative language:

simile
metaphor
idiom
hyperbole
personification
onomatopoeia
alliteration

Students should know the definitions and should be able to create examples for each element. 6th / 7th graders should be able to identify figurative language in literature and use them in their writing.
